Welcome to Ramble at Great Sand Dunes National Park, an environmentally focused campground designed with you in mind. Set on an expansive 640 acre property, the campground is surrounded by magnificent sand dunes and nestled up against the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. And it's just a short drive to the Great Dunes National Park and Preserve.

Adventure campsites are modeled after the traditional, dispersed camping experience but are far from basic. These walk in, tent only campsites can accommodate up to 4 guests and include 1 parking spot at a shared parking lot.

"Excellent private campground with top notch amenities that made it feel more of a “glamping” type experience vs rugged camping. Super comfy setups. Each site has its own shade seating area with a table and chairs, along with a propane grill and stove, a wagon to move things from your car to site, solar powered lighting. Bathrooms were immaculately clean, showers and sinks were a great plus. Free fat tire bike rentals and a beautiful 2.5 mile trail with art and stunning mountain views. Sunsets were gorgeous. It was clear that everything was very thoughtful and intentionally set up - kudos to the campground owners."

Signature campsites are perfect for the camper that wants to pack light and enjoy a few creature comforts. These campsites can accommodate up to 6 guests and include 3 next to campsite parking spots. *Some Signature campsites are trailer friendly, providing water and sewer hookups.

"This place is amazing!! Gorgeous views and weather! The amenities were beyond expectations. They have an amazing and very knowledgeable host! The potable water was filled everyday for sink use and cleaning. The showers were better than my home shower! We had so much fun on the fat tire bikes that are available for use. The bike trails seem endless and frisbee golf was awesome! Definitely will be back!!"
Signature Plus
Signature Plus campsites provide a premium camping experience with a balance of functionality & comfort. These campsites can accommodate up to eight guests & include 3 next to campsites parking spots. Extras include a dish rack, hand & dish soap, a pour over coffee kettle, wine opener, can opener, lighter and cutting board. *Some Signature Plus campsites are trailer friendly, providing water and sewer hookups.

"Ramble campground is a convenient, beautiful site with many amenities and options for recreation. This campground is well taken care of and has a modern feel with all they provide. We stayed at tent site #4. It has three tent pads, an outdoor kitchen with water, grill, hammock, fire pit, and lawn games. The kitchen is stocked with essentials like dish soap and scrubber, hand soap, a few cooking tools, cutting board, some coffee, and things like that. We honestly felt so well taken care of!"
Group
Get ready to wow the entire squad with space and opportunity. Our Group campsite is the perfect basecamp to call home after a day of adventure in the San Luis Valley. This massive site can accommodate up to 20 guests and include 6 next to campsite parking spots. Extras include a dish rack, hand and dish soap, a pour over coffee kettle, wine opener, can opener, lighter, cutting board and a first aid kit.

The Ramble at Great Sand Dunes campground is designed with the intention of making your time outdoors worthwhile. With a heavy focus on sustainability, our campground is low density with minimal alteration of the local landscape in which it resides. That means no electrical hookup service.
